Montoya Law, PLLC.

Changing the Way Law is Practiced!

Hubert Montoya completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin, and obtained his law degree from Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Licensed to practice law in Texas since 2017, he has represented clients in criminal and family law matters in Texas State court and has represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Most recently he has represented clients in Personal Injury matters pre-litigation. His philosophy is that the practice of law should move forward with the times. He wants to leverage technology for the benefit of clients everywhere.

Montoya Law Welcomes You

Client Before Profit

We have seen a great need for immigration services, and too often people are priced out of hiring an attorney. It is our goal to change this by providing services that are both affordable and efficient. We will do this by keeping overhead low and working remotely. Whether you are in a big city or a small town you have a right to quality representation.

For now our services are limited, but we will be growing!

Our Legal Practices

Although my ultimate goal is to provide full Immigration services to the Austin area, Texas and even the United States, I am starting off small. I want to bring legal services into the 21st century by working remotely. I will meet the client by telephone or teleconference, the client signs the contract electronically, pays, and I start working on the client's case from wherever I am. By working this way, I can keep costs low and make the work fast and efficient. Face to face meetings will be down whenever possible.

Immigration Law

Have a licensed attorney handle your immigration case start to finish. Only providing DACA, EAD, and Green Card renewals, for now. My list of services will grow, once I become more established.

Team Meeting

Consultation by Appointment

Professional & Thorough

Meet the attorney by telephone or teleconference to determine your eligibility. This is the first step in the process. During this session the attorney will determine whether the prospective client is eligible or not. Anything disclosed is privileged, confidential, and will not be shared with any third parties.

Business Meeting

Contract Signing

This is where you hire the attorney!

Go over the contract and all signup materials one-on-one with the attorney. This is your chance to ask any questions and get rid of any doubts you may have. The new client will receive a questionnaire and a list of documents needed by the attorney. Once the client fills out the questionnaire and provides all documents, the attorney can begin working on the case.

Making Notes

Document Preparation

This is where we do the work!

My goal is to do most, if not all, of the work remotely. I am free to meet clients in person by appointment in the Austin area (within reason). It is my goal to get every petition done within 1 week of receiving a complete questionnaire and all requested documents. Once the petition is complete, I will either mail it to the client for signing and with instructions on the next step, or I will have the client mail it back to me so I can send it to USCIS myself.

Unfortunately, USCIS requires original signatures, so this is the only part of the process that cannot be done electronically.

DACA Renewals

Fast Turnaround

If you have DACA now, or if you have had it before, you may be eligible to renew. Due to the precarious status of this program it is urgent that you renew if you have the chance. Waiting a day longer my leave you without any lawful status in the US. The current Administration is making every effort to get rid of this program. We have had great success getting DACA renewals approved, even for clients that have misdemeanor charges. Reach out to us today! We get your petition out as soon as you provide all necessary documents and filing fees.
